In response to God’s love and in the knowledge of God’s grace the believer strives to live a life that is pleasing to God and that follows the example of Jesus.

Romans 12,1-2

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

1 John 5,18 (cf. 3,9)

We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them.

1 John 1,9; 2,1-2

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

Hebrews 12,14

Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy;without holiness no one will see the Lord.

Philippians 2,13

Then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.
